Investigators say Lamarkus Jackson alledgedly shot a family member multiple times during an argument, then took off on foot… discarding the firearm as he ran.
On December 10, 2025, Constable Mark Herman’s Patrol Deputies responded to a shooting in the 4400 block of Donalbain Drive in Spring. Deputies quickly secured the scene and located Jackson nearby and arrested him.
Investigators say a verbal argument between the two men escalated when Jackson opened fire, striking the victim seven times. The victim remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
Witness interviews, evidence collection, and Jackson’s own admission led to charges of Aggravated Assault and Tampering with Evidence, accepted by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. Jackson was booked into the Harris County Jail with bonds totaling $100,000 out of the 183rd District Court.
