Louisiana: The Lafayette Police Department responded to the 100 block of S. General Marshall St.
As Officers made contact with the believed parties, shots were fired and struck two uniformed LPD Officers.
One LPD Officer was shot multiple times by the suspect and is currently in stable condition.
Another LPD Officer was shot multiple times by the suspect and is also in stable condition.
Both Officers were transported to a local hospital where they are receiving medical treatment.
The suspect was later taken into custody and is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital for their injuries.
