8/29/2021- 6:50 p.m.
The early evening hours of August 27th, deputies were dispatched to a property in eastern Reno County for a check welfare call.
Upon arrival deputies spoke with several friends of an individual which they hadn’t seen or spoken with since Wednesday evening, Aug 25th.
A preliminary search of the property resulted in finding a body we believe to be the person reported missing.
A search warrant was obtained and a search of the entire property revealed a second body, both of which we believe were the result of foul play. We believe both individuals are residents of Hutchinson.
During the investigation Kyle V. Hardwick was identified as a person of interest. He is possibly traveling in a 2000 Red Ford F-150 ex-cab pickup w/ veteran plates. Also known to travel by bus.
