Korean Peninsula Goes Ballistic: North & South Flex Missile Power

Seoul has responded to what’s being called an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile test from Pyongyang. Here’s how events have unfolded in the region on Thursday:

▪️Japan reports an NK “projectile” landed inside its exclusive economic zone at 15:44pm local time

▪️Test thought to be Hwasong-17 intercontinental ballistic missile – capable of reaching US territories or bases

▪️South Korea test-launched several missiles from land, sea and air in immediate response

▪️Japan claims DPRK missile was new kind of ICBM that flew for about 71 minutes to altitude of about 6,000km and range of 1,100km from its launch site.
