Sacramento Kings superstar De’Aaron Fox is expected to head to San Antonio and Zach Lavine is heading to Sacramento in a multi-team trade, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Fox has been the cornerstone of the Kings franchise, first joining the team as the 5th overall pick 2017 draft.
Fox’s accoldades include being selected to compete for the U.S. Team in 2018, being named Western Conference Player of the Week twice in the 2020-21 season, receiving All-NBA Third Team honors in the 2022-23 season, being selected as Western Conference Player of the Week in 2022-23 and being named Western Conference Player of the Week twice in 2023-24.
Notably, Fox led the team to their first playoff series in 16 years and helped take the at-the-time defending champion Golden State Warriors to 7 games. While the series ended in a first-round exit, it marked a revival for the franchise, a return of playoff basketball for Sacramento and was also the debut season the Beam.
