RawNews1st -Tupelo Police were called to the area of Maxwell and Clayton for a suspicious black male wearing a grey pants and a yellow hoodie attempting to break into vehicles.
As officers searched the area a male matching that description was spotted and fled on foot.
During a foot search of the area officers located the male hiding in a tree line on Magnolia Street.
The suspect Kenderrick K. Burnett (20 y/o male, Tupelo MS) was arrested and transported to Lee County Jail.
Evidence was located that connected Burnett to a Burglary of an Auto call that was reported at approximately the same time on Parkwood Grove.
On 08-04-2022 Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set bond at $20,000. This case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
