Jury is back and has reached a verdict for how much Alex Jones must pay Sandy Hook parents. Update to come.
The verdict has been signed by 10 jurors.
The jury has decided Alex Jones will owe $4.1 million dollars to the parents of the Sandy Hook victim in this lawsuit. Remember, this is the first of two verdicts – compensatory damages.
The next verdict they will be tasked with is for punitive damages.
Note:
The U.S. House committee investigating the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021 has requested Alex Jones’ cell phone data from the plaintiffs attorneys in his ongoing defamation case.
Mark Bankston, the attorney representing two parents who lost their child in the Sandy Hook shooting and later sued Jones over his claims the shooting was a hoax, told the judge he planned to turn over the materials immediately, unless she ruled otherwise.
