Judge Ruttle is a District Court Judge in Kenton County.
She reached an agreement with the Judicial Conduct Commission in which she agrees to correct the behavior.
Judge Ruttle will serve a two week suspension without pay during the month of May.
In 2021, Judge Ruttle was suspended for three incidents in 2020.
According to the suspension order, she required defendants in criminal trials to file written demands for jury trials, made comments to public defenders that were not “patient, dignified and courteous”, and suggested a defendant who didn’t have an attorney enter into a plea agreement which could have been perceived as “coercive”.
In that case, she was suspended for seven days.
