Jeremiah Edwards has pleaded guilty to raping a victim under the age of 14, after 12 year old girl came forward, when learning she was pregnant.
Edwards was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
He’ll then have to register as a sex offender.
The affidavit says the girl came forward in July of 2020 and told investigators she was at a friend’s, sleeping on the couch when she woke up with Edwards on top of her.
It says when police interviewed Edwards, he admitted having sex with the girl.
It says he told police she was “pretending to be asleep while positioning herself “provocatively” and he “didn’t plan it” but “couldn’t help himself.”
It says he told police he started to feel bad about it, so he stopped.
