Update on suspect in shooting death of Selma police officer Marquis Moorer.
Selma’s Police Chief Kenta Fulford confirmed Wednesday afternoon that 18 year old Javonte Corbin Stubbs was arrested near Tuscaloosa.
Chief Fulford said U.S. Marshals-Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and SBI Agents arrested Stubbs early Wednesday morning near Tuscaloosa.
As we reported earlier this morning, Stubbs was being held in the Chilton County Jail for Dallas County authorities.
He’s facing several potential charges including capital murder in the death of officer Moorer and attempted murder for the wounding of officer Moorer’s female companion.
