A Pittsburgh County jailer has been charged with having a sexual encounter with an inmate.
The affidavit says it happened on May 8th.
It says Robert Richardson is accused of kissing the inmate at 2 am inside her cell.
It says the inmate requested Richardson be the one to bring her laundry to the cell and he did that a few hours later.
She says she performed a sexual act on him at that time.
The affidavit says when read his rights and asked about it, Richardson denied it ever happened.
The affidavit says video shows him entering the inmate’s cell twice, once at 2 AM and once at 4:50 AM.
State law prohibits people in authority over others, from having a sexual relationship (like jailers and inmates, etc.)
