Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at 1919 45 Bypass, Days Inn.
Today, June 24th at approximately 9:20 A.M., officers with the Jackson Police Department were dispatched to the Days Inn for a call of shots fired.
Responding officers located two individuals suffering with a gunshot injury. Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene.
One of the individuals sustained a life threatening injury and died on the scene.
Based on evidence from the preliminary investigation, Jackson Police are not looking for any other person that may have been involved in this incident. Neither of the injured were residents of the City of Jackson.
