Islamic State group leader Abu Hasan al-Hashimi al-Qurashi killed in battle
According to a report by news agency AFP, the spokesperson of the Islamic State group said that Hashimi, an Iraqi, was killed “in combat with enemies of God.” However, they did not elaborate on the date of his death or the circumstances which led to his death.
The spokesperson also informed that the group’s new leader is Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi.
