Iowa kicker Aaron Blom is accused of placing 170 different bets totaling $4,400 before his 21st Birthday, via @FOS
Blom used an account registered to his mother to place wagers, according to court documents.
He even bet the under on the 2021 Iowa-Iowa State football game.
Court documents say the DraftKings Sportsbook account Blom used was registered in his mother’s name but “utilized by her son to make sports wagers with her consent and knowledge.”
Blom, of Oskaloosa, redshirted in 2020 as a walk-on. He did not appear in any games in 2021. Last season he made one field goal in three attempts and made one extra point.
Blom is one of two kickers currently on the Iowa roster – sophomore Drew Stevens, listed as the starting kicker after spring practice, is the other. Stevens, a South Carolina native, set a Hawkeyes freshman record last season with 16 made field goals.
