Rawnews1st – Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a home in the 2700 block of Lay Avenue on the report of a shooting with a victim.
While in route to the location of the original call, responding officers were flagged down by two different cars with gunshot victims inside at the intersection of Biddle Street and Brooks Avenue.
It was determined that both victims had fled from the home on Lay Avenue.
The two victims, both adult men, were transported to the UT Medical Center. One victim was pronounced dead at UTMC, while the other remains in critical condition.
The circumstances that led to shooting remain under investigation.

The suspects were described as two Black males with thin builds.
