Influencer Thebirdspapaya on Instagram is embracing her love for one-piece swimsuits.
Sarah Nicole Landry is showing her appreciation for the one-piece swimsuit.
The Canadian body positivity advocate — better known as The Birds Papaya — took to Instagram on Tuesday with a sun-soaked photo of herself posing on a beach in a black one-piece bathing suit from Canadian brand Knix. It was paired with a caption tipping her hat to the “comfortable” swimwear style.
“An ode to the one-piece,” she titled the caption of her post.
Landry explained for every time “a bikini just wasn’t it that day,” or when “showing up comfortably was more important than proving something,” a one-piece bathing suit saved the day. She said it allowed her to be “less distracted” by insecurities.
“While I am so proud of my journey to wearing the bikini, I also am so proud of my journey to wearing whatever I need to be there that day,” the mom of four continued.
“So when you hear the saying, ‘just wear the bikini,’ exhale and know, too, ‘just wear the one-piece, just wear the sweatsuit even, just wear whatever you need to that day, to show up,'” Landry wrote.
