RawNews1st – Members of the Sarnia Police Service Vice Unit were conducting an investigation in relation to an individual involved in the trafficking of cocaine and other drugs within the City of Sarnia.
The suspect, Ryan George Dionne, 32 years of age, of Sarnia, was also wanted on an outstanding Federal Parole Warrant.
At approximately 9:45 AM, Ryan Dionne was observed in the 700 block area of Christina Street North with two other individuals. As a result, a traffic stop was conducted in the area of Exmouth Street and Christina Street. Ryan Dionne was taken into custody as a result of the warrant and the drug investigation.
Two other occupants, that were in the vehicle, were also detained as part of the investigation.
A search of the vehicle located a ziplock bag containing 19.2 grams of cocaine (street value of $2300) and $4,410 in Canadian currency was located in the possession of Ryan Dionne.
Ryan DIONNE was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, three counts of breaching court order, and his federal parole warrant was executed by the Sarnia Police Vice Unit.
The driver of the motor vehicle, Justin Dionne, 33 years of age, of Sarnia, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and drive while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act.
Finally, Brennan Erdodi, 36 years of age, of Sarnia, faces one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Drug addiction is a significant concern in the City of Sarnia. The Sarnia Police Service will continue to prioritize enforcement against those who distribute illegal substance in our community.
