Burlington Police Department investigating convenience store robbery.
The Burlington Police Department was assisted by the Henderson County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office and the Oquawka, Illinois Police Department.
Burlington Police detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Phillips 66, 1900 Summer Street, just before 6:00am this morning. At 6:02am the convenience store clerk called DESCOM and reported the robbery.
Burlington Police Officers responded to the scene and were told by the female clerk that a man entered the store, brandished a handgun and demanded money.
The clerk said she gave the man her purse and he fled from the store. No one was injured during the robbery.

Charged with:
Theft 1st degree: Class C felony
Robbery 2nd degree: Class C felony
