Nj.com – According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the company conducted an internal review of its label and found that milk was not listed in its “ingredients” or “contains” sections on the packaging.
Hush puppies are a deep-fried cornmeal appetizer that can be served with various fillings.
No illnesses or adverse affects have been reported in conjunction with this recall.
The affected products include:
- One-pound bags of hush puppies with onions, with a UPC code of 0 72119 20718 2 and a sell by date of July 26, 2026
- 2.8-pound bags of hush puppies with onions, with a UPC code of 0 72119 20305 4 and a sell by date of Nov. 11, 2026
- 2.8-pound bags of hush puppies, with a UPC code of 0 72119 20304 7 and a sell by date of Oct. 16, 2026.
The FDA noted that the products came in clear packaging and were distributed to retailers and wholesalers in New Jersey, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
Consumers who have purchased these products are advised not to eat them and are encouraged to return them to their place of purchase for a full refund.
