Human Foot Partially Buried In Florida Backyard Led To Murder Suspect’s Arrest
A report of a possible body buried in somebody’s Florida backyard led police to find a human foot partially exposed. Now, their suspicious death investigation has led to an arrest for murder.
The first discovery came Monday.
Since then, Fort Pierce police said they learned the body was an unknown Hispanic man, 35 to 45 years old.
Friday, they announced the investigation led them to speak with someone who’d been arrested in the area Thursday night on an unrelated warrant.
That was Bryan Marquez.
Police said officers got a full confession from the 22 year old, and he’s now charged with first-degree murder.
The victim has been identified but his name has not been released.
Police thanked several agencies for help with the investigation, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
