Homicide Victim Information Sought – Please Share
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a murder that occurred overnight near the 2900 block of Sydney Street, in the Riverside area of Jacksonville.
On Saturday, June 18, 2022, just after 6:30 a.m., officers responded to the area after the report of an individual being found deceased along the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers located a white male victim, believed to be 25-35 years of age. The victim was pronounced deceased, and it appears that he died from injuries sustained as a result of a gunshot.
At this point in the investigation, detectives have been unable to identify the victim. As such, we are asking for the community’s assistance in attempts to identify him.
He has been described as:
Race/Sex: White/Male
Age: 25-35 Years Old
Height/Weight: 5’8″/290 lbs.
Hair: Brown w/ full face bushy beard
The victim contains several distinct tattoos on his body, described as:
- Lion head wearing a crown on inner right forearm
- “Chevy” emblem on left bicep closer to chest
- Hebrew writing on left bicep closer to back. The inscription, “שזדד החזק דק”, is believed to translate as “Only the Strong Survive”.
This continues to be an active investigation as detectives work to identify this victim as well as those that perpetrated the crime.
