Hillary Clinton’s closed-door testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee was briefly halted in its first hour, after right-wing political commentator and provocateur Benny Johnson posted a photograph of the proceedings on social media.

“This is the first time Hillary has had to answer real questions about [Jeffrey] Epstein,” Johnson wrote in a post on X that shared the photo, which he said was provided by Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado. “Clinton does not look happy.”

Cinton adviser Nick Merrill told reporters outside the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center, where the deposition is taking place, the post prompted the testimony to go off the record “while they figure out where the photo came from and why possibly members of Congress are violating House rules.”

A group of GOP senators traveled to the White House Thursday for a post-State of the Union policy meeting with President Donald Trump, according to two people granted anonymity to disclose the private gathering.

The group includes Majority Leader John Thune and Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt, among others. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the meeting.

Hillary Clinton is testifying before the House Oversight Committee due to a subpoena in their investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s network and associates, amid newly released documents from the Donald Trump administration in January 2026.

She claimed in her opening statement that she has no new information to add apart from what has already been revealed.
