The California Highway Patrol (CHP), Santa Fe Springs Area office, is seeking the public’s help with information on a hit and run fatal traffic collision.
On July 18, 2022, at approximately 2210 hours, Santa Fe Springs CHP units responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Leffingwell Road and Corley Drive involving the driver (Unknown) of a white Mercedes C300 and a pedestrian identified as 53-year-old Lorraine Naranjo of Whittier, CA.Â
The driver of the Mercedes continued driving westbound on Leffingwell Road and eventually abandoned the Mercedes on Laurel Avenue where he then proceeded on foot.Â
Ms. Naranjo suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.Â
The vehicle is described as a white Mercedes C300, with major front-end collision damage.
