Hawaiian volcano on amber alert after 4.7-magnitude tremor

Authorities are monitoring the Kilauea after a quake struck off the coast of Maui.

Officials say the chances of a tsunami are minimal, and that the earthquake was not related to volcanic activity, but was due to the “oceanic plate bending due to the weight of the islands.”
