Hackers take control of federal agency network – opening up govt communication
A backdoor has been found in the Intl Religious Freedom Commission’s network – potentially providing total visibility and control for hackers. (Arstechnica)
“We believe it’s reasonable to conclude that the attackers were able to intercept and possibly exfiltrate all local network traffic in this organization,” the agency confirmed.
It’s thought the threat actors could have gained info from “international governmental and nongovernmental organizations,” which it interacted with.
