A computer hacker who made $147,000 stealing unreleased music from Ed Sheeran and Lil Uzi Vert was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
The Associated Press reports that 23-year-old Adrian Kwiatkowski will serve 18 months in prison for stealing songs from the artists’s cloud-based accounts and selling them for cryptocurrency.
Kwiatkowski also pleaded guilty to one charge of converting criminal property and two charges of possession of criminal property, SkyNews reported. Reportedly, he made $147,000 from these illegal transactions.
