Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed legislation that will completely overhaul Michigan energy and make the entire state green by 2040.
Locals and farmers who opposed the measure weren’t allowed to speak before the vote.
The bill will end fossil fuel energy in Michigan and instead use wind and solar power.
The farmers who opposed this didn’t want to lose any more land for these solar and wind farms. The citizens were worried that the less reliable energy sources could cause blackouts.
