Lisa Tesch, 51, was arrested Friday afternoon by police detectives, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Tesch is a known fugitive with outstanding warrants in Kentucky and has now been charged in Indiana regarding the death of 18-month-old Eleanor Campbell.
Campbell died on June 16 after she was hit by a car earlier that same day at the Motel 6 on Hospitality Way in Jeffersonville.
Police identified Tesch as being Campbell’s grandmother.
While working with the child’s family, police said they were able to identify a car of interest connected with Tesch.
Police say detectives from Kentucky and Indiana have worked tirelessly since that incident to bring Tesch to justice.
They said their investigation led them to the 200 block of Glendora Avenue in the Shawnee neighborhood, where they found Tesch and one of her family members, 34-year-old Joshua David.
Both were arrested without incident and are in custody on unrelated outstanding warrants.
