GOP states REVOLT against Biden’s bank-spying plans to order IRS to snoop on accounts with more than $600
Missouri and Arkansas have become the latest states saying they would not comply with the Biden proposal that forces banks to hand over transaction data over $600 to the IRS, on Wednesday.
West Virginia State Treasurer Riley Moore says no state should comply with the plan which has been snuck into the $3.5 TRILLION budget reconciliation bill, which he describes as an “unconstitutional invasion.”
Missouri’s State Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick also slammed the plan in a statement saying, the law is a “gross violation of Missourians’ expectation of privacy when it comes to their personal financial records.”
These states follow both West Virginia and Nebraska who have also promised to defy the policy.
