Google warning over location-sharing apps – Ask Jeeves (search) definition of hypocrisy?
The tech giant has told developers they need to be upfront with users regarding information shared with “Huq,” a British firm which sells location data. (BBC)
Huq admitted that at least two apps shared users’ information with the firm without properly seeking permission first, prompting an investigation.
“As part of our investigation, we have sent a warning to all app developers that we determined were in violation of Google Play policies,” Google said.
