A girl was shot in northeastern Louisville early Sunday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Around 3 a.m., LMPD Eighth Division officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 3700 block of Chamberlain Court.
That’s in a residential neighborhood off Westport Road near the Gene Snyder exit there.
When they got there, police found a girl whom they called a juvenile with a gunshot wound to her leg and rear.
Police say an unknown suspect had fled the scene.
The girl was taken to Norton Children’s Hospital with what police said appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
LMPD Eighth Division is currently investigating, but there are no known suspects at this time.
