Genesis Escobar, 21, got inside a car to rob someone during a botched drug deal near her home in Belmont Cragin.
Escobar’s boyfriend, who was on stand by outside, attempted to rob those on the other end of the drug deal, then an ensuing exchange of gunfire occurred in which Escobar was shot multiple times.
victim was left for dead after she stumbled out the car and the driver fled the scene sending money flying through the block, her boyfriend grabbed some of the money and took off as well.
She was 7 months pregnant.
