Garfield Heights Middle School placed on lockdown

RawNews1st – This morning Garfield Heights Middle School Security was notified by a bus driver that she located a bullet underneath one of the bus seats after students left the bus.
The bus driver also noticed the student who was sitting in the seat go to a trash can outside of the school and he appeared to put something in it. School Security checked and located a handgun magazine loaded with 4 rounds inside the garbage can.
The school was immediately placed in lockdown and the students involved were identified and detained. No firearm was ever seen or found.
The on-scene investigation was concluded and will be forwarded to our juvenile detective bureau for review of charges. Middle School students were then dismissed for the day.
