Freedom Convoy organizer Tamara Lich DENIED bail
An Ottawa court has denied bail to one of the Freedom Convoy’s major organizers, Tamara Lich, after she had run the $10mn GoFundMe campaign that was later shut down by authorities.
Judge Julie Bourgeois told Lich “this community has already been impacted enough by some of the criminal activity and blockades you took part in and even led. You have had plenty of opportunity to remove yourself and even others from this criminal activity but obstinately chose not to and persistently counselled others not to either.”
Bourgeois added that Lich – scheduled to return to court on 2 March – faced a “lengthy” spell in prison if convicted.
