According to deputies, they executed multiple search warrants today as the investigation evolved. They added that deputies collected physical evidence and video surveillance from the scene to determine what happened.
Following the investigation, deputies said Cody Dockins and Godiet Corral were charged with first-degree murder for the shooting. Corral was taken into custody by deputies this afternoon. Deputies added that Corral was in the federal correctional system before and was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service on separate criminal matters.
Deputies announced on Thursday that a third suspect was charged in connection to the homicide investigation. Russell Allen Wilson Squire was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals, NCHP and RCSO at a home in Rutherford County Wednesday night.
He is charged with felony accessory after the fact and is being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility on a $250,110 bond.
