Washington – Fourth set of human remains discovered at Lake Mead since May.
National Park Service Rangers received an emergency call reporting the remains at Swim Beach around 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6.
This comes just 12 days after the third set of human remains was discovered in the same area.
On May 1, a skeletal body was found inside a barrel in Hemenway Harbor on May 1. Police believe the person was shot to death sometime in the mid-70s to early 80s.
Then, a week later, another set of remains were found in the Callville Bay area.
According to a National Park Service release, park rangers are responding and have set a perimeter.
They are being assisted by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s dive team, suggesting these remains might be submerged, at least partially, in the water.
The Clark County Medical Examiner has been contacted to determine the cause of death.
