Four people were shot at Peachtree Center mall, police say

Police are investigating after four people were shot at Peachtree Center mall off Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta.

Police said four people were shot at 235 Peachtree Street, including the suspect.

All of those with gunshot wounds are alert, conscious and breathing.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens said that it happened in the Peachtree Center mall’s food court. He went on to say that the building is on lockdown.

Dozens of officers from several law enforcement agencies, including some wearing tactical gear and carrying rifles, are milling Peachtree Street as the investigation continues.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is also on the scene.
