The OSBI says a former substitute teacher has pleaded guilty in Cherokee County to 1 count of aggravated possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
(20 total, but 10 of it was suspended).
Hansen Johnson must then register as a sex offender for life.
Agents say this case started in October of 2020 when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a cyber-tip from a social media platform.
The tip included an image and short video showing an adult sexually abusing an infant.
That case was forwarded to the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.- On November 5th, 2020, Johnson was arrested at his home in Tahlequah and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.
At the time of his arrest, Johnson was a substitute teacher at Grand view School in Cherokee County. -This is now a conviction.
