RawNews1st – A former Morris school teacher has now been sentenced to 15.5 years in federal prison for engaging in sex acts with 2 of his students, over a period of years.
Dallas Ewton had pleaded guilty to 3 counts of sexually abusing a minor in July of 2022.
He admitted sexually abusing a student between April 2012 and June 2016.
He also admitted to sexually abusing another student between September 2019 and January 2020.
One girl says it happened when she was 11 to 15 years old, from 6th to 10th grades.
She said the incidents happened in class, after class and during after school tutoring sessions.
She said they occurred every day unless Ewton was not at school.
She said Ewton threatened her life and the life of her family if she ever told anyone.
Ewton told FBI agents, he considered the girl to be one of his, that he tutored her, coached her and was there for her if she needed something and initially denied anything happened.
Agents interviewed a former student at who said she was warned in 6th grade, to be careful around Ewton and Ewton grabbed her sides from behind her once and said, “Just making sure you’re real” and she told her parents, who decided not to file a complaint.
Another student reported being inappropriately touched by Ewton three separate times.
