Former Black Site Inmate: Innermost Account Revealed of Brutal CIA Enhanced Interrogation
Majid Khan, a Baltimore graduate turned ‘Al Qaeda Courier’, has become the first-ever former black-site prisoner to give testimony on the horrendous abuse being endured at overseas detention centers.
“To those who tortured me, I forgive you,” he said in court, claiming he’d rejected al-Qaedam violence and hatred. “I hope in the day of judgment that Allah will do the same for you and for me.”
Khan was captured in Pakistan in 2003 and claims the more he co-operated the more he was tortured. He faces 25-40 years for a range of crimes but has cooperated with the govt for over a decade, and will serve from his guilty plea in 2012. He may even be released as early as February.
For more than two hours in court, Khan opened up on the conditions he faced; humiliation and nudity, being chained up in ways which made it impossible to sleep, being nearly drowned in icy water tubs and waterboarded.
