Diego Callegario dos Santos, a 33-year-old physical education teacher in Esperança Nova, Brazil, was tragically shot 15 times while teaching a class to elderly students on August 20, 2024.
The masked gunman approached him from behind and fired point-blank, continuing to shoot after Diego fell to the ground.
This attack occurred just a day after Diego learned his fiancée was pregnant with their second child.
He was well-known in the community, teaching around 100 students, and was involved in youth soccer coaching.
The police are still investigating the motive for the crime
