The change could mean you no longer need a Fire TV Stick at all.
Panasonic announced that all its new TVs will have Fire TV built-in.
That means you won’t need a Fire Stick or to purchase a Fire TV to access Amazon’s content.
Daniel Rausch, vice president for Alexa and Fire TV, said: “We’re incredibly excited to announce with Panasonic that their new smart TVs will include Fire TV starting in 2024.
“This means customers around the world will get to experience all the benefits of Fire TV’s personalized streaming experience and access to Alexa, combined with Panasonic’s best-in-class smart TVs.”
The change doesn’t affect current Fire TV users but if you’re looking to purchase a new TV, it’s worth taking into account.
Panasonic’s new OLED TVs promise a “premium Fire TV experience.” They’ll have new features like far-field Alexa voice control.
That means you won’t need a smart remote to verbally command the TV.
Instead, you can just speak out loud and the device will hear your requests.
Another futuristic feature includes Fire TV’s Ambient Experience, which means when you’re not streaming content, the device shows an always-on display with an image of your choosing.
The TVs are also set to be some of the world’s first to offer a 144Hz refresh rate.
That makes them great for gaming as they can offer users a competitive edge.
