Memphis rapper Finesse2Tymes is facing an arrest warrant after he allegedly made death threats against the guardian of his former protégé, 11-year-old rapper FNG King.
As reported by TMZ, the 32-year-old rapper was accused of making threats against a woman acting as a guardian for King, who previously released music with the help of Finnesse2Tymes. She called the police after the rapper and his brother allegedly verbally threatened her outside a smoke shop in Humble, Texas last year.
The woman isn’t related to King, and neither is Finesse2Tymes, but the dispute was reportedly over his custody.
The incident happened on Oct. 23 when the woman, who was joined by King, stopped by the shop to pick up her grandchild.
When there, Finesse2Tymes asked to speak with King. Shortly after, the woman said that the boy ran out of the store looking distressed and said, “They trying to send me back to Memphis.”
King got inside her car, joined by four other children, but Finesse2Tymes allegedly approached the vehicle with the intent to intimidate the woman.
She said that his brother said he would “up that fire,” assumedly referring to using a firearm, and tapped on his waistband. She claimed that she saw that he had a gun on him because there appeared to be an outline under his shirt.
“You gonna die on camera today,” Finesse2Tymes allegedly yelled in the heated exchange. Authorities are investigating the incident, but it’s unclear if he or his brother are facing any charges.
Last month, King made serious allegations against Finesse2Tymes. “He did things for me, but… He’s a conniving person,” he said in a TikTok post. “He was smoking with me, giving me drugs. He [had] guns around [me].”
