Igh’Jhlan Silver is a 2-year-old black female, approximately 2 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 28 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Prasjhas Reid is a 3-year-old black male, approximately 2 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 26 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

The victims are believed to be with: Kevin Antonio Smith.

Kevin Antonio Smith is described as a 25-year-old black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Last seen on N Caldwell Street/W Innes Street in Salisbury ; unknown direction of travel. The vehicle is a gray 2023 Nissan Altima with NC license tag number KHB-1698.

Injuries are beginning to pile up for the Milwaukee Bucks, presenting them with a new hurdle as they try to rally from a 2-1 deficit in their first-round series against the Indiana Pacers.

Milwaukee has already been playing without two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, sidelined with a calf strain. Khris Middleton was listed as questionable entering Friday’s Game 3 before scoring 42 points in 41 minutes.

And near the end of the fourth quarter, Damian Lillard aggravated an Achilles injury that he said hindered him during overtime.

“We are just taking a lot of hits right now as far as injury-wise,” Bucks coach Doc Rivers said after his team’s 121-118 loss in overtime.

Lillard finished with 28 points on 6-of-20 shooting in 45 minutes, but he did not take a shot and went scoreless in overtime.

He told Rivers he wanted to stay on the floor to serve as a decoy for Middleton, who hit tying 3-pointers with 2 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter and again with 8 seconds left in overtime.

“I just wanted to be on the floor in case opportunity came up or however I could help,” said Lillard, who revealed that one of his Achilles had been sore following the Bucks’ regular-season finale in Orlando.

“We’re gonna get back and just have to get ahead of it because that’s not something that you want to play with. It’s one of those spots on your body where you literally can’t, you can’t do nothing about it.

If you can’t move you can’t move.

We have a couple of days to start and try to get ahead of it. Get it feeling better and get ready for Sunday.”

Portugal President says country must pay reparations for slavery and colonial crimes

President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa said that Portugal was responsible for crimes committed during transatlantic slavery and the colonial era, and suggested there was a need for reparations.

“We have to pay the costs,” Rebelo de Sousa said. Are there actions that were not punished and those responsible were not arrested?

Are there goods that were looted and not returned? Let’s see how we can repair this.”

The idea of paying reparations or making other amends for transatlantic slavery has been gaining momentum worldwide, including efforts to establish a special tribunal on the issue.

Dozens of tornadoes swept across America’s heartland, impacting millions of residents and leaving a trail of destruction. 

Twenty million Americans, from Texas to Iowa, are on alert for twisters, large hail and up to 70 mph winds.

There were at least 59 reported tornadoes across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa as of 7 p.m. ET, according to the National Weather Service.

“Tornadoes, including a couple of strong tornadoes, very large hail (some greater than 2 inches in diameter), and wind damage remains possible this afternoon/evening from eastern Kansas/Nebraska into Iowa, western Missouri, eastern Oklahoma, western Arkansas, and northeast Texas,” the agency said.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office reported that parts of a large manufacturing facility collapsed, trapping at least 70 workers.

Hundreds of houses sustained damage in Omaha, Nebraska — mostly in the Elkhorn area in the western part of the city, Omaha Police Lt. Neal Bonacci said.

The owner of a website compiling information about Area 51 believes the military is testing new technology at a covert ‘base within a base’ in the Nevada desert. 

Area 51 has long been seen as a site where recovered alien technology is tested, with at least one former worker, Bob Lazar, saying they’d seen extraterrestrial aircraft on display.

Skeptics say those incredible claims provide a useful distraction from the very real but extremely-secretive military aircraft that are definitely developed and tested there.

The military only acknowledged the base’s existence in 2013, when a formerly classified document about the U-2 was obtained by the National Security Archive at George Washington University.

Man pulls out a gun and starts shooting at a truck after the driver tries running him over in a driveway.

Indiana man Dustin L. Roecker has been charged with attempted murder for trying to run over a man with his car.

The victim can be seen jumping and pulling out his gun as the driver tries running him over.

As he gets tossed onto the hood of his Corvette, the victim pulls out a gun and starts shooting.

Roecker then threw himself out of the window and fled on foot. He was later caught by police.

Roecker was charged with attempted murder, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement and auto theft.

The victim was sent to the hospital with leg injuries.

A new social engineering scam is on the rise, luring software engineers with fake job interviews only to infect their systems with BeaverTail and InvisibleFerret backdoors malware

Cybersecurity firm Securonix is tracking the activity under the name DEV#POPPER, linking it to North Korean threat actors.

“During these fraudulent interviews, the developers are often asked to perform tasks that involve downloading and running software from sources that appear legitimate, such as GitHub,” security researchers Den Iuzvyk, Tim Peck, and Oleg Kolesnikov said.

“The software contained a malicious Node JS payload that, once executed, compromised the developer’s system.”

Details of the campaign first emerged in late November 2023, when Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 detailed an activity cluster dubbed Contagious Interview in which the threat actors pose as employers to lure software developers into installing malware such as BeaverTail and InvisibleFerret through the interview process.

Then earlier this February, software supply chain security firm Phylum uncovered a set of malicious packages on the npm registry that delivered the same malware families to siphon sensitive information from compromised developer systems.

It’s worth noting that Contagious Interview is said to be disparate from Operation Dream Job (aka DeathNote or NukeSped), with Unit 42 telling The Hacker News that the former is “focused on targeting developers, mainly through fake identities in freelance job portals, and the next stages involve the use of developer tools and npm packages leading to […] BeaverTail and InvisibleFerret.”

Operation Dream Job, linked to the prolific Lazarus Group from North Korea, is a long-running offensive campaign that sends unsuspecting professionals employed in various sectors like aerospace, cryptocurrency, defense, and other sectors malicious files dressed as job offers to distribute malware.

First uncovered by Israeli cybersecurity firm ClearSky at the start of 2020, it also exhibits overlaps with two other Lazarus clusters known as Operation In(ter)ception and Operation North Star.

The attack chain detailed by Securonix starts with a ZIP archive hosted on GitHub that’s likely sent to the target as part of the interview.

Present within the file is a seemingly innocuous npm module that harbors a malicious JavaScript file codenamed BeaverTail that acts as an information stealer and a loader for a Python backdoor called InvisibleFerret that’s retrieved from a remote server.

As of Thursday, bird flu had been detected in 33 herds in eight states: Idaho, Kansas, Michigan, New Mexico, North Carolina, South Dakota, Ohio and Texas.

Richard Webby, an influenza virologist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, said the number of positive samples is consistent with numbers he’s reviewed from smaller sample sets.

“But the number does seem high if the number of infected farms is indeed only 30-odd,” Webby wrote in an email. “Clearly there are more infected animals out there than being reported.”

The FDA first said Tuesday that it had found viral fragments in commercially sold milk, triggering the Agriculture Department to issue a federal order mandating that all dairy cows be tested for bird flu before they are transported between states.

The Food and Drug Administration said Thursday that traces of the bird flu virus have been found in 1 in 5 samples of pasteurized milk, providing a more detailed picture of how much of the milk supply has been affected.

The tested milk came from a nationally representative sample, with more of the positive results coming from milk in areas with infected herds of dairy cows, the FDA said. A spokesperson declined to say how many samples were tested.

Health officials maintain — and experts agree — that pasteurized milk is safe to drink. The FDA detected small pieces of the virus in milk, not live, infectious virus. 

“Right now, all indication is that pasteurization is effective,” said Dr. Andrew Bowman, a veterinary epidemiologist at Ohio State University.

The FDA said Tuesday, “To date, we have seen nothing that would change our assessment that the commercial milk supply is safe.”

It is conducting studies on the effects of pasteurization on the bird flu virus in milk and expects to release results in the coming days.

The virus, a strain of bird flu called H5N1, is concerning to public health officials because of its high fatality rate: More than half of the people who have contracted the illness have died, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Blood tests revealed his immune system was under attack, but five separate specialty doctors could not explain the source of his symptoms. 

In April last year, an osteopathic doctor diagnosed Norkus with immunosuppression and small fiber neuropathy.

The doctor believes the conditions were triggered by the vaccine

Police standoff with kidnapping suspect shuts down 710 Freeway

A kidnapping suspect remains barricaded inside a van after leading officers on a pursuit through Los Angeles County Friday night.

The suspect initially led officers on a chase before pulling over on the on-ramp to the southbound 710 Freeway near Alondra Boulevard in Compton.

However, the driver is refusing to come out and has moved into the rear portion of the van, according to Long Beach police.

All lanes of the southbound 710 Freeway have been shut down. Traffic is backed up for miles to the 105 Freeway and continues building.

A spike strip has been set up in front of the van and SWAT Team members, along with K-9 units, are responding to the scene.
