FBI raids New York police union HQ and home of boss who clashed with Mayor Bill de Blasio
Federal authorities hit the Long Island home of Sergeants Benevolent Association president Ed Mullins Tuesday in an operation that also targeted the police union’s Manhattan HQ, the Daily News reported.
While the details of the raid remain unclear, an FBI spox confirmed the agency was “carrying out a law enforcement action in connection with an ongoing investigation” into the police union.
Mullins, who has been the SBA’s head since 2002, has often clashed heads with NYC’s progressive mayor, writing earlier this summer in the MailOnline his “anti-police rhetoric” stirred up violence against the city’s cops.
