Fayetteville Narcotic Investigation Leads to Arrest
(Fayetteville, NC) – On Thursday, July 18, 2024, Jesse Burden (Black male, 28 years old) of Fayetteville, NC was charged with multiple drug felonies.
On Thursday, July 18, 2024, members of the Fayetteville Police Department’s Narcotics Vice Suppression Unit (NVSU) with the assistance of the Hope Mills Police Department executed two search warrants, one at a residence along the 3300 block of Winesap Road in Hope Mills and the second one at a residence along the 7800 block of Loxley Drive in Fayetteville. Both search warrants led to the seizure of the following items:
- 815 grams of Fentanyl
- 43 grams of Cocaine
- 42 grams of Marijuana
- 244 grams of THC wax
- 2 firearms
- $6,495 in US Currency
Burden was charged with the following:
- Trafficking Opioids by Manufacture,
- Trafficking Opioids by Possession,
- Maintaining a Dwelling for the Keeping and Selling of a Controlled Substance (x2),
- Trafficking Cocaine by Manufacture,
- Trafficking Cocaine by Possession,
- Possession with the Intent to Manufacture,
- Sell, or Deliver Marijuana, and Conspiracy to Traffic Opioids
Burden was arrested and held with no bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center pursuant to N.C. G.S. 15A-533(H), as he was arrested for a new offense committed while on pretrial release for another pending proceeding.
On July 19, 2024, Burden’s bond was set at $40,000 secured by a District Court Judge. On July 24, 2024, he was released from Cumberland County Detention Center on a $40,000 secured bond with a Fayetteville Police Department electronic monitor.
