Family members are struggling after a father and his 4 month old son are killed in their Monroe NC home.
Several shots were fired into the home on Morrow Avenue last night.
Darion McClendon and son Da’mari died. Family members say they want justice.
On Sunday, May 29, 2022, the Monroe Police Department responded to a shots fired call at 10:08 p.m. at 329-A Morrow Ave.

Upon arrival, officers found two gunshot victims, Darion McClendon (DOB 2-5-1997) and Damare McClendon (DOB 1-14-2022).
Both died as a result of their wounds. Police are looking for suspects. ​This is an ongoing investigation.
