Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident, Wichita Police Investigate

RawNews1st – The Wichita Police Department (WPD) is investigating a hit-and-run vehicle vs pedestrian accident that fatally injured a 35-year-old man from Wichita.
Shortly after 01:10 a.m. today, WPD officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of East Lincoln for a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision.
On arrival, officers found Sedgwick County EMS personnel providing lifesaving measures to a male victim. The male victim was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery. The male victim was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The investigation revealed the male was crossing Lincoln Street when he was struck by a black pickup truck traveling eastbound.
The accident is still under investigation.
