European Gas Prices Soar – Wheat Hits Record High amid Russian ‘military operation’ in Ukraine
Benchmark Dutch TFF natural gas futures gained as much as 47% – the most since 2005 – in its fourth-straight daily advance.
Wheat prices hit a European record price high on Thursday – Ukraine and Russia are two of the world’s biggest producers of the crop – trading at $384 a tonne on the Euronext platform.
US stocks also suffered a sharp decline, the Dow Jones opening 2.5% down Thursday.
