EUROPE IS ON THE BRINK OF THE ENERGY CRISIS
In Europe, the price of gas has increased by more than 250% since January.
In the United Kingdom, for it is + 500% and in the wake of gas, electricity is also reaching historic levels today.
There has been a global explosion in demand for gas & electricity, linked to the economic recovery after COVID-19.
Producers therefore had to restart coal-fired power stations or keep gas-fired power stations running longer.
Mechanically, they emitted more CO2, so they had to pay more emission rights, rights which are also increasingly higher, we are at 62 euros per tonne.
